Guild Growth and Officers Needed

The Redscar Legion continues to grow at a steady and formidable pace. We got around 14 new members in February!  With our numbers rising and responsibilities expanding, Warlord Grishokk has announced that additional officers will soon be appointed to help guide the Legion forward.

Before seeking candidates beyond our ranks, he has called upon current members who are interested in stepping into leadership to make themselves known. Those who believe they have the dedication, initiative, and strength to serve the Legion in this capacity are encouraged to step forward and declare their intent, or speak to him for more information.

Deployment to Silvermoon City

The Redscar Legion has formally been called to deploy to Silvermoon City in response to the growing threat of Xal’atath and the movements of her Voice forces. With Void influence stirring and tensions rising in Quel’Thalas, our warband has been asked by Horde leadership to lend its strength in defense of Horde lands.

Village Voices

**Blademaster Huhn** calls for everyone to ensure our axes stay sharp and our spells sparkly.  He reminds us that the Alliance have also been invited to Qual’Thalas.  He will be leading a group to look into the old Windrunner place soon.

Quartermaster Bixidink requests that member complete their Tradeskills Registry paperwork.  A procurement drive runs through the end of March to stock up on needed parts.  There are cash prizes for the best collectors.

Warden Crolan is going through what paperwork he has from the former security forces of Driftwatch, which is sparse.  He is working on getting things organized to set up guards and patrols.

Harbormaster Skugs will be surveying Driftwatch coastlines, inlets, and sandbars.  He calls for volunteers to assist in these surveys.  Contact him directly for more information or to volunteer.

Spymaster Iresh is currently investigating the goings-on in Silvermoon.  He’ll soon be looking for capable people to assist.

Raze found a cool bug.  He ate it.

Sylareth has a guest staying with her named Remira.  She is a Sin’dorei, but she has no ears.  You may see her collecting plants.

Kirasande also has a guest staying with her.  He is a former blood knight and a jeweler.

Member of the Month – Kirasande Mirkalla

The Redscar Legion names Kirasande Mirkalla, Warstalker, as this month’s Member of the Month, recognizing not only her early commitment to the guild but also her dedication to fostering its growing community.

Kirasande recalls that she may have been among the Legion’s first recruits. After spotting flyers posted in various cities announcing the formation of a new guild, she initially paid little mind to them. It was not until an encounter in Dalaran with Razzee that her path changed. “She made a convincing case that this would be a good step for me, and so, here I am,” Kirasande said. “It has been a lovely time.”

Though she has taken part in contracts and combat alike, Kirasande finds her greatest enjoyment in the Legion’s organized events and the careful planning behind them. She speaks warmly of the sense of connection they create, describing the guild as a “lovely community” she hopes will continue to grow.

That spirit of outreach was evident in the recent date auction she conceived and hosted. Inspired by a similar event in a prior community, Kirasande proposed adapting the concept for the Legion. Rather than keeping it strictly internal, she advocated opening it to outsiders to build visibility and generate modest funds for administrative needs. The event, while not without minor confusion, ultimately succeeded in drawing attention and participation. Though she does not anticipate hosting another public auction due to logistical challenges, the effort demonstrated both creativity and initiative.

When asked whom she trusts most to guard her back, Kirasande did not hesitate to name Nipheia first, citing a friendship that predates her time with the Legion. She also expressed confidence in Suits, Frizzoli, and Blezz, describing them as steadfast and dependable companions in their own ways.

Her proudest accomplishment, however, lies not in battle or planning but within herself, and her personal growth.  When talking about her old self, she shared, “She is still in there, and I doubt I ever will be truly rid of her, but she does not control my life anymore.”  She credits the Legion’s community with helping her become stronger and more grounded than she once was.

For new recruits, Kirasande offers guidance shaped by experience. “I would tell new recruits to not fear being wrong,” she advised. “It gives you the opportunity to change. To better yourself. To become a stronger individual.” It is a message of resilience and humility, fitting for a Warstalker who measures strength not only in martial skill but in self-mastery.

Driftwatch Visitors

Driftwatch recently played host to a lively band of Grummles visiting from Kun Lai Summit, whose caravans brought rare trinkets, rich coffee, and no shortage of enthusiastic bargaining to our shores. For several weeks their bright tents and cluttered wagons added color and commerce to the village square, drawing crowds from all over the island. Now their packs are loaded and their yaks are restless, and the caravan has begun its journey onward, leaving behind lighter purses, a few questionable purchases, and more than a few good stories.
