Words from the Warlord
When we first raised the banner of the Redscar Legion, we were little more than a handful of blades and an idea. Now look at us. Our ranks have grown, our presence is known, and Driftwatch stands not just as an abandoned village, but as a place worth defending. That did not happen by chance. It was built by every member who showed up, lent a hand, spoke up, or stood beside another when it mattered.
Strength alone does not make a Legion. It is trust, cooperation, and shared purpose that hold us together when the fighting starts and when it ends. Keep supporting one another. Keep building something worth standing for. If we hold to that, then no matter what comes for us next, we will meet it as we always have. Together.

Member of the Month – Huhn Kurezak

Within the ranks of the Redscar Legion, Huhn Kurczak serves as Blademaster, a role centered on preparation, discipline, and readiness for conflict. His path to the Legion began after a long period of travel across Azeroth, where he found himself missing the sense of camaraderie he once knew. That search led him to a simple posting and, eventually, to a meeting in Orgrimmar that set his course.
“I had been travelin’ through Azeroth for some time when I realized dat I be missin’ some allies like I had back before becomin’ a Death Knight, I had seen a flyer for da Legion on a postin’ board, and sought out a member. I met ol’ Dreadhoof in Orgrimaar who introduced me to Suits and Frizzoli, we had a bit of picnic and shared some ol’ war stories.”
Huhn’s focus within the Legion reflects his instincts as a fighter. He favors scouting and direct engagement, valuing the clarity that comes from being tested in combat. That same mindset carries into his work with the War Council, where preparation and awareness remain constant priorities. Strategy discussions and organized events serve a shared purpose, ensuring Legion members understand both their enemies and their own capabilities.
As Blademaster, he also oversees activities such as the upcoming dueling contest. These structured fights provide a controlled environment to sharpen reflexes and decision making while offering a measure of friendly competition. Participants gain experience that can translate directly to battlefield situations.
Trust, for Huhn, is shaped by shared experience. He notes the presence of fellow members of the Ebon Blade within the Legion and the understanding that comes from similar origins. The ability to stand together despite those experiences forms the basis of his confidence in those who fight beside him.
When asked about his accomplishments, Huhn keeps his answer grounded in survival and persistence. Each battle faced and endured serves as its own measure of success. His advice to new recruits follows a similar tone, combining practical wisdom with blunt encouragement.
“Ya can’t push a rope, don’t be pissin’ into da wind, and when dem dirty Alliance skum be crawlin’ out of der holes stick ’em wit da pointy end.”
For Huhn Kurczak, the path forward is straightforward. Prepare, fight, and endure.
About the Player OOC
The player behind Huhn began playing World of Warcraft in 2006, with intermittent returns across multiple expansions before settling back into the game more recently. Early experiences included battlegrounds and running a potion business that fulfilled weekly orders, reflecting a preference for a relaxed and self-directed playstyle.
What continues to appeal about the Redscar Legion is its focus. The guild’s Horde identity and its approach to content without pressure to pursue high level optimization stand out as defining features. Looking ahead, he is interested in more content driven roleplay events that allow members to experience the game world at a slower pace while staying immersed in character.
((OOC Notes))
Due to low participation, we’re taking a break from raiding. Instead, we’ll be focusing more on Mythic+, Ritual Sites, Delves, and other more casual PVE events.
Vote for May’s endeavor visitors in #april-news-2026
If you would like an RP job or task, based on your character’s village job, you can make one up and report on it. Or if you would like, I can make one up for you!
I will be on vacation the week of May 31. I will probably check Discord in the evenings and during downtimes, but I won’t be in game at all. Please see an officer if you need anything.
